Eileen continued dowsing at three further points on the Pitch Hill line. On the A281 near Selhurst Common she found it difficult to dowse at first because of the heavy traffic, but still picked up the line, running along two hedges. At Hascombe it was easier to dowse, as it was a much more peaceful place. On a minor roadnear Hydons Ball she found it was easy to dowse with one hand while driving, and picked up the line again as the car crossed it.
Janet and Gordon Millington and Eileen Roche dowsed the energy line at Hascombe. Gordon found the line began near to the fountain, about the middle of the lane, and continued along the B2130 for some distance southward, centring on the 30 mph sign outside the Village Hall. It was too cold to check the line Eileen had found on November 18th.
Following the trip to the Devil's Punchbowl, everyone except Gordon went to the Church at Hambledon, where the E-line was again dowsed. The lime kiln by the side of the E-line was noted, and the ancient yews in the churchyard were dowsed for age. These yielded ages of 900 - 1000 years for Jim and Eileen, using rods. Russell and Phil climbed the inside of the hollow one. As a wedding service was in progress, it was impossible to enter the church.
