It was a very misty day, and very little could be seen for any distance, when the Surrey Earth Mysteries Group went to the Isle of Sheppey for the final field trip of the year, to investigate the point where the E-line goes off the coast. The group included Daniele Hart, Eileen Roche, Jim Goddard, Gordon Millington, Chris Hall, Charles and Gill Refoy.
Strangely, we disagreed about its position. Eileen and Chris Hall were convinced it was here at the sea-wall, but Gordon and Jim picked it up a little further to the north, near the seemingly significantly named town of Leysdown. I feel the latter version was confirmed by the position where we detected it further back into Kent, near the motorway intersection at Bredhurst.
